Things I found interesting:

The Vegetable Candle: these simple candle holders use a vegetable as a heavy base, works best with swedes, celeriac and yams. Made by Peter Marigold.

Design Revision. Up-cycled Jewellery: Jewellery made from discarded sunglasses, prescription lenses and vintage buttons.

The New Gypsies

Above are images of the 'New Gypsies' by Iain McKell that were displayed in the Fashion Space Gallery, May this year. He describes the new gypsies as British horse drawn travelers. A group of people seeking an alternative lifestyle to western society by moving from place to place as travelers are originally known for on horse drawn caravans. Photographer Iain McKell spent 10 years documenting and living with various travelers, he decribes these gypsies as 'punks in the landscape', born out of the 60's/70's. They do not share a common ethnographical origin, a spirituality or a political stand. They share an ideal that a different way of living is possible.

Shoreditch Twat "Being a Dickhead's Cool"

As part of my new module I am looking at social groups and dominant hubs. Eventually I will predict a new hub but for new I am doing some field research and came across this video on the 'Shoreditch Twat'. Pretty amusing, down to a tee!
