P!nk Pop-Up Store/Exhibition

In it's first few opening days I booked myself a time slot to visit the P!nk Pop-Up store inside The Lair at Metro Theatre, Sydney. As a young teenager of about fifteen I myself was a huge Pink fan and loved her female empowerment, therefore curiosity took over when I read about the event. The concept was to sell exclusive merchandise to her fans, however what I loved was the exhibition that enveloped this merchandise. The room was filled with 'funhouse' elements that you could play and interact with, and alongside these elements were costumes from her previous tours.

Taboo

Going through my experiences since travelling the world, I have been meaning to post about this exhibition. Taboo was an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney that brung together both Australian and international artists who respond to ideas and concepts around race, ethnicity, politics and religion. The concept gave a powerful and emotional effect due to the issues it portrayed that perhaps we avoid or are distorted in main stream media. Ideas and issues that transgress what is considered to be the 'correct behaviour'?

Fashion Vodka Mix

Gareth Pugh designs a limited edition Absolut vodka bottle! There is no end to fashion's influence on the world. The soon to be iconic bottle is designed to reflect fashion through it's 12 facets. Inspiration for his design for Absolut came from Pugh’s iconic ‘Stealth’ jacket, from his Autumn 2007 collection, transforming its jutting batwing-style shoulders, as modelled by McColl tonight, into a sheath for the bottle. The 'Stealth' jacket Pugh believes defines his early career.
