Decode: Digital Design Sensations

Today we took a field trip to the V&A to see the latest exhibition, Decode. For this exhibition the V&A has collaborated with contemporary arts organisation, onedotzero. onedotzero promote innovation across all forms of moving image and interactive art.

Decode looks at three different themes within digital design these include code, interactivity and networks. For me the interactivity was the fun part, it's what made the exhibition enjoyable and the networking maps inspired my current module, networks and connectivity. In the free little exhibition leaflet networks is described as mobile technologies, the internet, blogs we post and the messages we send. This is completely controversial to how I drew my network, I thought about my network as in the people I know and who they know, so on. Kind of like my connections not my internet connections...

My favourite part of Decode was the Videogrid by Ross Phillips, an interaction designer and creative technical director for SHOWstudio. See my cheeky little video below showing how me and the girls became apart of the digital piece of art.
